with NBvV (Nederlandse
Bond van Vogelliefhebbers), a well known and respected bird society
in Holland, and PS
Holland, well known for it's promotion for Psittacula Species (Werkgroep
"Edelparkieten"), a new standard is being developed for
the Psittacula species. The standard is used for judging these birds at
regional shows. A large part of the development are the mutations especially
the mutations of Ringnecked parakeet. Most of the mutation names are not
based on solid arguments or genetics. With a little help from Inte Onsman,
Mutavi Research,
the mutations got names which are based on scientific and genetic arguments.
